A strong focus of this meeting is the application of population modelling and simulation techniques in the experimental, clinical and regulatory settings of drug development.
NONMEM TRAINING CALIFORNIA PROFESSIONAL
The PAGANZ meeting is the Australasian forum for scientists with a research and professional interest in the use of the population approach in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.

NONMEM TRAINING CALIFORNIA FULL
Cancellation is not possible after this date and the full registration fee is payable. CancellationĪll cancellations received in writing by Taca Training more than 3 weeks prior to the workshp will receive a refund of the registration fee less €250. You may transfer your registration to a colleague at any time – please inform Taca Training of the transfer. Each participant will be provided with a copy of the data and NONMEM control files so that they can run all examples themselves. The computational aspects of the subject matter are an essential part of the workshop and are integrated into all of the sessions with many of the examples being run ‘live’ during the workshop. The course notes contain copies of the instructor’s slides.Ĭopies of data sets, NONMEM control streams and output files are provided in electronic format. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussion throughout the programme because this enables them to place their own modelling and simulation work into the framework described by the instructor. The examples cover a broad spectrum from very simple introductory datasets to bioassays and population PK/PD with multi category responses.
NONMEM TRAINING CALIFORNIA CODE
The material is illustrated with many example data sets and the associated NONMEM code is explained in detail. The concepts and ideas are developed in a ‘step by step’ approach which makes it easier to understand because students focus on one step at a time. This lecture style workshop is applied rather than theoretical and covers the concepts involved with binary and categorical data in a simple, intuitive and easily understood way. The workshop is designed for pharmacokineticists, statisticians and others in the pharmaceutical industry with an interest in modelling and simulation of categorical data. His training courses have been highly acclaimed and are in great demand in the pharmaceutical industry where he also has extensive experience as a consultant. He has taught in US and European universities for thirty years. Adrian is currently a research fellow in the Advanced Modelling and Simulation Group at Johnson & Johnson and a member of the School of Mathematical Sciences at University College Dublin. He was an associate professor in the University of California, San Francisco where he worked with Lewis Sheiner and Stuart Beal and was instrumental in developing PK-PD modelling with categorical responses using NONMEM®. Presenterĭeveloped and presented by Adrian Dunne whose background is in statistics, mathematics and pharmacology and who has more than 30 years experience in pharmacometrics. A detailed description of the content of each session is given in the workshop schedule. The course uses many example data sets including bioassays and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modelling and simulation with categorical responses. Individual subject and population analyses are included. This course gives a clear and concise description of the steps involved. The modelling and simulation of these data pose specific challenges not encountered with numerical data. Data recorded during animal, human and other studies are often categorical.
